Today our local paper, the Hays Daily News, did a short story on the ride.
Kevin and Dad did a great job with the SAG Vehicle! Now the driver will be comfortable and I'll have a comfortable place to rest! So happy with the finished product :)
Today donations total $785! Anxious for July to get here.

Donation Update!
As of this morning, I am a bit closer to my $2000 goal. $375 has been raised thus far!
Our local newspaper, the Hays Daily News, will publish a story on my ride next week. Hopefully, this will bring in a few corporate sponsors to help with expenses. I will post a link to the story as soon as it is available.
Progress is being made on the support van. Kevin and Dad called this am to report the insulation and lining were going in today and the inverter and battery were purchased. Tomorrow, they will head to Grand Junction to pick up a Fan-tastic Fan to help cool the interior of the van. I am so appreciative of their help.

Van Update
Kevin Bogan (Brother) and Joe Bogan (Dad) have generously offered to start the much needed work on the support van. Doug Renard (Hubby) took the ramp out last night before its trip to Colorado on Sunday. Here are some "before" pics. Can't wait to see the finished version!

Ride is coming together!
The excitement is building toward this summers cross country ride! Volunteer drivers Judy Vonfeldt and Grace Blehm have signed up to head up the SAG vehicle and manage the daily operations of the ride. Still many details to work out...
Coffee Rules of Hays, KS has stepped up to help sponsor the ride, and private donations are beginning to come in on the donation page. Still need corporate sponsors to help with the expenses (gas, meals, campsite fees, etc.)Suggested corporate sponsorship is $500 and includes sizable add on side of SAG vehicle and in all publicity material.
Work on the SAG vehicle is going slow. Looking at purchasing 4 new tires, tune-up/oil change, insulating and wiring to outlets and lights. Also looking at adding a hidden hitch for exterior bike rack.
$300 toward my $2000 goal! All funds go directly to the National Alzheimer's Association. Please contact me direct if you are interested in a sponsorship!
